This cushion cover is worked in three pieces. First the cabled front panel is worked, in the round and from the centre out. The stitches of the front panel are cast off with an i-cord edging; then the envelope-style back panels are worked flat, by picking up sts along the i-cord edging. Finally, after blocking, the back panels are seamed at the edges of the cushion, and buttons are added to allow for easy insertion and removal of the inner cushion.
